In a world where too many children are glued to screens and families struggle to find meaningful connections, our pack is here to create the time and space for families to come together. We offer an opportunity to step away from the busy schedules and foster quality time outdoors, where both parents and children can bond through shared experiences. Through our activities, we cultivate the values of the Scout Law—trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent—empowering young minds to grow strong in character while building lasting memories with their loved ones.
Cub Scouts is a fun, hands-on program for boys and girls in grades K–5 (ages 5–11), designed to build character, leadership, responsibility, and outdoor skills.
It’s part of the larger Scouting of America program and helps kids grow through activities like camping, teamwork, community service, and learning life skills in an age-appropriate, engaging way.
Pack 812 is made up of smaller groups called “dens,” organized by grade level.
We recruit families from Negley Elementary, Cullen Elementary, and IDEA Academy—but any child within the Cub Scout age range is welcome to join the adventure with Pack 812!

The Den Experience
In Cub Scouts, kids are grouped by grade level into “dens,” each led by a parent volunteer. Pack 812 has a den for every age group K-5.
Den meetings are where Cub Scouts come together each week for fun, friendship, and hands-on discovery. Every meeting is a new adventure—whether you're building birdhouses, racing boats, or exploring the outdoors, there's always something exciting to do.

The Pack Experience
A pack is where all Cub Scouts—Kindergarten through 5th grade—come together as one big, adventurous team.
At pack meetings, it’s a true celebration of teamwork, where everyone, no matter their age, is valued for their contribution. Younger Scouts bring fresh energy while older Scouts lead by example. Everyone learns, grows, and celebrates together.
The pack events are where the magic happens! There’s a special vibe when all ages mix. Pack 812 keeps the fun going all year with exciting events like:
Two campouts
Pinewood Derby races
Service projects
Rank advancement banquets
Monthly outdoor activities
Summer fun days
The fun isn’t just in the activities, though; it’s being part of something bigger, where every Scout plays a role in the adventure.

Pack 812 has a uniform closet to help offset joining costs. Please reach out before buying new.
The uniform can be bought new online ,at the Scout Shop in Austin or the Scout Shop in San Antonio
